April 2023 Social

Our April Social will be on Saturday, April 22, 2:00 p.m. at Stiles Auditorium, 320 West Cherokee Avenue, Cartersville. As previously mentioned, the date is a little later in the month than usual due to Easter on April 9 and the Loch Norman (Charlotte) dances and Scottish games on April 14-16, which many of our local dancers attend.

Yoshi will be our MC and his program has dances for all levels including several beginner friendly dances. We are hopeful that some of the new dancers from the Etowah (Cartersville) beginner class will join us for their first social.

I believe everyone enjoys dancing on the wood floor at Stiles Auditorium; my feet certainly do. We are very fortunate to be able to do so and it’s through the efforts of Rick and Sarah that we are can. The people in charge of the facility prefer that we do not use the kitchen or have food on the premises (the recent workshop was an exception).

It would probably be a good idea to bring your own water and if you run out or forget, there will be some bottled water available if needed.

In lieu of having food during the intermission, Rick and Sarah have invited everyone to their home after the social for a get together. If you could bring the snacks that you usually bring to the social, that would be great. In case you need it, their address is 21 Bobwhite Trail.

Rick will be on his own for setting up the room and if a few of you could come a little early to help move tables and chairs, it would be greatly appreciated. The room will also need to be reset after the social.

Please plan to join us for a fun afternoon of dancing and socializing.
