THE ROYAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE SOCIETY, ATLANTA BRANCH, INC
Membership is open to all persons aged eighteen and over interested in the objects of this Local Association of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Membership in the R.S.C.D.S. is required for membership in the Local Association. Persons aged seventeen and under may become Junior Associates.
The objects of the Local Association are:
(a) To preserve and further the practice of traditional Scottish Country Dances and modern dances of merit in the traditional style;
(b) To provide or assist in providing instruction in the dancing of Scottish Country Dances;
(c) To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and Music by any suitable means;
(d) Generally to do such other things considered by the Local Association to further the aims of the Society.
The fiscal year runs from July 1st to the following June 30th. Membership includes two issues per year of the RSCDS Magazine “Scottish Country Dancer”. Joint membership includes one subscription to the magazine. A person may vote at the Local Association’s General Meetings who has been a member for at least the thirty days prior to the date of the Meeting. The Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers take place in May or June depending on scheduling. Atlanta Branch Nametags are not included in the membership fee, but are offered at a nominal cost (usually around $10) – you can indicate if you would like to have a nametag ordered on the membership application.

Please use a separate form for each applicant, although spouses living at the same address may apply together. Membership in more than one Local Association is permitted, but the Member must elect the Local Association through which he/she wishes to pay Society subscription fees. Please indicate if there is any information on this form which you do not want published.
