Grandfather mountain highland games is one of the largest highland games held in the US.  The games first formed in the late 50s and have been held annually since the 60s.  The Blue Ridge Scottish Dance School meets the week proceeding the games.  A ball will be held the coincide with the games.  Dance events are being planned on the mountain during the games.  More details of games events will be provided as they are finalized.
